Amy Mackey, MA, LPCA
Amy Mackey is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, wife, and mother to three amazing children. Amy has experience working with relationships, couples, marriage issues, infidelity, teens, self-harm, self esteem, grief, anxiety, and depression. She is licensed in Georgia and North Carolina and can therefore offer E-therapy to clients located in both states.
Amy has a heart for teen girls. Amy has found that these girls often feel controlled by their emotions. Whatever these emotions are she helps them to identify them, understand them and manage them effectively. She acts as a sounding board for them, helping them process complicated and sometimes conflicting emotions. Through this process the girls learn to have a better self-understanding and tools to cope with their surroundings.
Amy uses an eclectic combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. Amy believes in tailoring therapy for each individual and meeting those clients where they are.
